OFF TO PRAGUE

I am up at dawn while the rest sleep. I cannot remember what day it is and that is fine with me. As it begins to grow light outside, I contemplate the trip ahead. The internet tells me Prague is 351 km away. It also tells me Dresden is located in between. As I research the options of stopping there for lunch, I am profoundly aware of how much fun this trip is. After months of planning, we are now living it. I have to pinch myself at the mere thought of the sentence; “will we stop for lunch in Dresden or travel straight to our apartment in the Mala Strana of Prague”. Said in any other context and it would be a wank. We will hit the road in about three hours. Whether we stop at Dresden will be decided in due course. Who knows, maybe our obstinate GPS will lead us somewhere else. Either way, I do not mind.
